Rams Head Inn

The building is a grade 2 listed Free House Inn located in the village of Dolton which is situated in the middle of Devon. The village, like most of the villages nearby, has its origin dating back through many centuries and is referenced in the Domesday Book. The village lies in a valley just north of the River Torridge with Dartmoor to the south and Exmoor to the north. The location is ideal for touring or walking the countryside with the North Devon coast at Bideford and Westward Ho just 35 minute drive. For business trips the Inn is in a very central location for the mid Devon towns and villages.

The Inn dates back to somewhere between the 12th and 15th century. The building has largely retained it's original character with huge old fireplaces, bread ovens and pot stands. Whilst maintaining its original character, many essential facilities have been added. The Inn has a delightful restaurant and bar area and provides traditional bar food and also an extensive restaurant menu based on country style food dishes, prepared by our chef's using local produce where ever possible.

The guest accommodation comprises 6 bedrooms each with a shower or bath and W.C; television, direct dial telephones, tea and coffee making facilities and of course the peace and quiet of the Devon Countryside.
