First time we have returned since our honeymoon 32 years ago! Not disappointed. Pub has retained all its old world charm. Excellent food and service in the restaurant where we ate each evening of our 4 night stay. Breakfasts also excellent. Lovely peaceful location, room very cosy and comfortable, looked forward to returning after a day out walking. Read less

Food, peace and quiet, lovely village.
Dislikes:
We did not risk parking our 4x4 in the Tower Inn car park as access is very tight. However plenty of parking at the Park and Walk on the edge of village.

Likes:
Cosy country Inn, relaxing and intimate. Food was of a very high standard and the location was very peaceful. Landlord made us feel most welcome, cooking breakfast himself which was delicious.
Dislikes:
Room and en-suite a little on the cramped side (most of our belongings ended up on the floor) Entrance to parking area very tight-don't take a big vehicle.
Response from The Tower Inn:
There are actually three owners to our Inn. So I hope that it was all of us that made your stay!

Slapton is a quaint old South Devon village of winding lanes and picturesque cottages, situated almost halfway between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. It is about half a mile inland from the sea and the famous Slapton Sands.

Tucked away in the centre of the delightful and historic village of Slapton, the Tower Inn is a haven for lovers of good food, fine wines and real ales. Accommodation at The Tower Inn is provided in three first floor double rooms, all with en-suite facilities. The bedrooms are situated in a self contained wing which gives guests the freedom to come and go as they please. Access to all rooms is via an external stone staircase.

All of our rates include a full English breakfast which is served in our restaurant at 9am. Guests requiring early breakfast may request so. Lunch and dinner are served daily, using local produce where possible.

Parking is available for a limited number of cars at the front of the Inn in a courtyard carpark. This is accessed via a narrow 14th century coaching driveway. This is not suitable for very large vehicles.
