weekend stay for a family wedding arriving on a Friday evening after a long drive, we needed accomodation that was near major routes and easily located, This busy Inn was just that with a friendly welcome and superb room. Just time for a relaxing drink in the bar before a dinner. The menu which is available on line covers all tastes and the wine is varied and reasonable. I recommend a table reservation at busy times. The Hunters Lodge Inn is not a hybrid pub/restaurant and rooms. It stays as a country pub with a buzzing restaurant and a separate hotel block with ensuite rooms of a good three star standard.

Saw from the map that it is close to A303 and so was worried about road noise but you wouldn't have known it was that close, as didn't hear it at all at night. The Hunters Lodge Inn is located 500 yards from the A303 and just outside the racing town of Wincanton in Somerset. It features an cosy bars and restaurant, very large car park and expansive grounds. Stay in the Meadow Vale suite, a luxurious four-poster room for an extra special evening. The Hunters Lodge Inn occupies an enviable position in the heart of unspoilt Somerset countryside with far reaching views whilst still being a stones throw from the A303, the arterial route of the South West. PLEASE NOTE: Check In is from 16:00 to 22:00. Late/Early Check In by arrangement & Check Out is by 11:00. We are a no smoking accommodation.
