Dislikes:
Unfortunatly there was entertainment on for the Saturday night, it was very, very loud and vibrated through the bed, so no sleep for us until it finished around midnight.

Large room on front. Lack of double glazing and the A6 just outside could make for a sleepless night. If you're not used to traffic noise, request a room on the back.

Spacious room, huge bed. Quality Breakfast.
Dislikes:
Shower was in need of repair. Chipped handle attacked my finger and lever to turn it on was missing. UHT Milk jiggers in room dated best before 24 DEC 2011.

The location of the New Holly is ideal for those visiting Preston or Lancaster. Lancaster is just 5 miles away and Preston is just 8 miles away. Lancaster University is only 3 miles away making the New Holly an excellent base when visiting Lancaster University. The popular seaside resort of Blackpool is 15 miles away. To get away from it all you can visit the Trough of Bowland nearby, a place of outstanding natural beauty.
The New Holly is an ideal stopping point if you are arriving from the Isle of Man via the ferry terminal which is just 30 minutes away. Late check ins are available.
As a thriving public house the New Holly offers all the facilities you would expect, including live music every Friday night and for special occasions we have our in house DJ. There is an excellent bar, lounge and restaurant, and the restaurant has won numerous awards. Our top chefs have recently won the area award for Thwaites’ Catering Newcomer of The Year, and have also been finalists in the prestigious Publican Newcomer of the Year and Pub Food Champion awards, as well as runner up in the Pub Chef Awards’ Young Pub Chef of the Year.
