Local Area Information
Alongside the Kennet & Avon Canal, the largest town in West Berkshire, Newbury, has a bustling high street with many interesting shops, which include unique stores such as family-run department store Camp Hopson. Once a month the town is also visited by the farmer’s market, crammed full with delicious, local produce. Stockcross itself is a peaceful village, The village lies to the west of Newbury. It is the site of a brick-built church (St John's).
How to Find Us
M4(approx 15 miles)
From M4 Junction 13 take the A34 south. After 5 miles, exit at the Bath Road Junction, also signed A4 Hungerford, Donnington Speen.
Turn Right at the roundabout and cross the bridge over the A34. At the next roundabout, take the second exit signed Wickham, Lambourn. As you enter Stockcross, turn right signed Woodspeen and a Nursing Home. Keep left and Rookwood House is 90 yards on the right.
Newbury Station(approx 2 miles)
Newbury Station is on the London Paddington to Great Bedwyn line. Take a taxi from the station 2 miles to Rookwood Farmhouse, Stockcross.
