There is a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities available nearby: sight-seeing in historic Stirling, a multitude of golf courses (including St Andrew's and Gleneagles), fishing, hill-walking, bird-watching and shopping for bargains in the "Sterling Mills Designer Outlet Village", located in Tillicoultry. Regular dog shows and equestrian events are held nearby. For those on business and staying In Westbourne House B&B, we offer an unrivalled breakfast to start your day and a quiet haven to come home to after a busy day's work.

Clackmannanshire is Scotland in miniature; magnificent scenery, rolling hills, fast flowing rivers and ancient villages, set in the heart of this bonnie land. Robert the Bruce and William Wallace (Wallace Monument above) strode through history here, while Mary Queen of Scots was beguiled by the fairy tale, 15th century Castle Campbell (picture left) set high above the rich woodland of Dollar Glen. The area also has some of the best walking and cycling routes in Scotland while the Ochil Hills stretch for over 12 miles and rise to over 2,300 feet (Ben Cleuch) with views as far as the Forth Bridges, Edinburgh, the high Cairngorms and Fife. There are nine golf courses within 10 miles of Tillicoultry, a dry ski slope, coarse and fly fishing.
Environmental Statement
We source local produce for breakfasts. B&B breakfasts include home-made jams and preserves made from fruit from our garden and local farms, kippers from Pittenweem in Fife and Scottish smoked salmon. Free-range eggs also come from Fife and haggis and black-pudding are produced in Scotland. All drying of towels and sheets is done without the use of a drier; we use an old-fashioned "Sheila Maid" pulley system that has a zero carbon-footprint.
