I have never been anywhere so welcoming. arriving late was no problem, early breakfast was no issue. They were brilliant in every way. The location is perfect.
Dislikes:
This is a step up from camping but its not a 5 star hotel. Showers were cold, a bit untidy and very much charging the top end of what it was worth.

Gorgeous drive to property, really off the beaten track! Views from the room were second to none and we go away a lot! Muddy season, lambs, hens everywhere, place was getting over a hard winter! Someone is a hoarder and there was loads of weird and wonderful stuff everywhere outside. Hosts lovely. Bed awful but we both slept like logs. Not the cleanest but okay and cheap as chips. You must be happy with dog smell to stay here and be looking for authentic and quirky! Read less

Amazing place, great hosts, interesting things to see.
Dislikes:
We're not great with wet dog smell but that's us - it was a farmhouse after all!
Water is brownish but to be expected and we drank it without boiling - no ill effects!

The room was cold and damp. The mattress was so old that every spring could be felt. The bedding was damp and cold. There was no proper heating in the house at all. We had a very old heater, which was very worrying and couldn't be kept on through the night. The hot water was brown. There was a damp patch on the wall. I have arthritis and asthma, so wasn't impressed at all.We didnt sleep at all that night and was exhausted in the morning. Read less

Ty Coch Farm is situated in the Wybernat valley which is steeped in History. The farm dates back to the 1300s and is still a working farm. We are situated in a very quiet location away from the hustle of Betws-y-coed and it’s a 10 minute drive away for all restaurants and pubs. Attached to the farm we have Gwydyr stables which offers horseback riding around the Forest and mountains for all abilities and ages. The National trust property TyMawr which was the birth place of Bishop William Morgan, is only 500 yards away and also has its own nature trail walk. In the other direction about ½ a mile we have the Penmachno mountain bike trail which is in 2 half’s a difficult and medium level. If you like to walk, we have many tracks, trails, old drover tracks and footpaths all over the Valley you could walk over the mountain and into Dolwyddelan 2-3 hr walk. The valleys name Wybernabt means viper/dragon and has its own Celtic legend attached to it.
