"Long weekend in the country"
We booked the accomodation for a long weekend in North Wales to climb the Snowdon peak. I would point out the following, which other guests need to be aware of, this is a working farm and you will encounter farm animals up close, the farm is out in the sticks and accessed via unlit narrow lanes, the water pressure is not great in your rooms. Tap water is potable but can be coloured. It is not the nearest B&B for climbing Snowdon. Read less
Likes: The friendliness of the hosts, the wildlife, farm animals and the location.
Dislikes: The lack of attention to detail by the hosts with cleanliness and the making up of the room (once over 3 nights). A lack of consistency with the breakfasts and room features/making up.

Ty Coch Farm is situated in the Wybernat valley which is steeped in History. The farm dates back to the 1300s and is still a working farm. We are situated in a very quiet location away from the hustle of Betws-y-coed and it’s a 10 minute drive away for all restaurants and pubs. Attached to the farm we have Gwydyr stables which offers horseback riding around the Forest and mountains for all abilities and ages. The National trust property TyMawr which was the birth place of Bishop William Morgan, is only 500 yards away and also has its own nature trail walk. In the other direction about ½ a mile we have the Penmachno mountain bike trail which is in 2 half’s a difficult and medium level. If you like to walk, we have many tracks, trails, old drover tracks and footpaths all over the Valley you could walk over the mountain and into Dolwyddelan 2-3 hr walk. The valleys name Wybernabt means viper/dragon and has its own Celtic legend attached to it.
