"Long weekend in the country"
We booked the accomodation for a long weekend in North Wales to climb the Snowdon peak. I would point out the following, which other guests need to be aware of, this is a working farm and you will encounter farm animals up close, the farm is out in the sticks and accessed via unlit narrow lanes, the water pressure is not great in your rooms. Tap water is potable but can be coloured. It is not the nearest B&B for climbing Snowdon. Read less
Likes:
The friendliness of the hosts, the wildlife, farm animals and the location.
Dislikes:
The lack of attention to detail by the hosts with cleanliness and the making up of the room (once over 3 nights). A lack of consistency with the breakfasts and room features/making up.

"Dirty and smelly"
This place wouldn't have been that bad if someone cleaned it! Full of dust, grime and cobwebs. Cat hair everywhere. The first words the owner said to us on arrival was "excuse the mess", that was shocking! Dog and cats in the kitchen, cats allowed in the dining room walking on the tables. There was a massive fat dead fly in our breakfast, the owner didn't seem too concerned about it! Location ok but the drive up there is really scary especially at night as it's up a steep hill. "Memorable for the wrong reasons"
The room was nice and bed was comfy but the bathroom left much to be desired. Shower trickled and went from scolding to freezing, bath water was brown, and I mean BROWN.. This is the same water to make a cuppa. Owners were friendly and welcoming. Road access was very poor! and could have damaged the car depending how high your suspension is or wide your car is. Too remote. Also you have to pay cash for any outstanding money or bank transfer. No card option. Read less

Nice, helpful, welcoming people. Hear the farm animals.
Dislikes:
Location was too remote and very poor road access! Shower trickled and could not maintain temperature. Water was brown, very brown, and this was the same water to make a cuppa. Walls were thin.

I have never been anywhere so welcoming. arriving late was no problem, early breakfast was no issue. They were brilliant in every way. The location is perfect.
Dislikes:
This is a step up from camping but its not a 5 star hotel. Showers were cold, a bit untidy and very much charging the top end of what it was worth.

Gorgeous drive to property, really off the beaten track! Views from the room were second to none and we go away a lot! Muddy season, lambs, hens everywhere, place was getting over a hard winter! Someone is a hoarder and there was loads of weird and wonderful stuff everywhere outside. Hosts lovely. Bed awful but we both slept like logs. Not the cleanest but okay and cheap as chips. You must be happy with dog smell to stay here and be looking for authentic and quirky! Read less

We're not great with wet dog smell but that's us - it was a farmhouse after all!
Water is brownish but to be expected and we drank it without boiling - no ill effects!

The room was cold and damp. The mattress was so old that every spring could be felt. The bedding was damp and cold. There was no proper heating in the house at all. We had a very old heater, which was very worrying and couldn't be kept on through the night. The hot water was brown. There was a damp patch on the wall. I have arthritis and asthma, so wasn't impressed at all.We didnt sleep at all that night and was exhausted in the morning. Read less
