The Black Swan is in the quiet village of Gweek, Gweek is an old port which is located at the head of the Helford river it is the furthest navigable point on the tidal river. Set among the extensive woods of the Helford, Gweek is a good spot to start exploring the area whether by land or water.
These days the village is perhaps best known for the National Seal Sanctuary; where injured seals or pups separated from their mothers are bought for treatment, rehabilitation and hopefully release.

Truro(approx 16 miles)
Drive along A39 and A394. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Morlaix Ave/A39. Go through 1 roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Arch Hill/A39. Continue to follow A39. Go through 4 roundabouts. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Treluswell Roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A39
Go through 1 roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A394. Turn left. Destination will be on the right.
