"Lovely place"
We went to this B&B in Par because we couldn't find accommodation in Fowey, which is where we wanted to be for the Regatta. It wasn't a problem as my son lives in Fowey and he picked us up then dropped us back off at the end of the day. Our room was comfortable and spotless with beautiful views from our bedroom window Read less

We have a very comfortable guest lounge , which is light and airy , has leather settees, large TV, and log fires in the winter .We have pretty gardens and fantastic views over St Blazey, the Luxylan Valley and surrounding countryside. Close by we have horse riding stables, places to go fishing and golf courses. The picturesque fishing villages of Mevagissey, Polperro, Looe and the river side villages of Polruan and Fowey are within a few miles and the nearby Cornish coastline with beaches and coastal paths is waiting to be explored.

From here you can explore all that Cornwall has to offer quite easily by car or train, using bike trails or on foot.A local bike hire shop next to cycle track in Pentewan, can usually help with bikes and advice.

By car we are 5 mins from the Eden Project, about 15 from the Lost Gardens of Heligon and 15 minutes from Lanhydrock House and its wonderful estate and gardens. At Vine Cottage we are within easy reach of lots of other fantastic Cornish gardens and historic houses well worth visiting.

The fishing villages of Mevagissey, Looe and Polperro are waiting to be explored with great restaurants, fresh caught and freshly cooked fish pubs shops coastal paths and wonderful scenery.

The town of Fowey on the river Foy is a must, visit Polrun by passenger ferry or Bodinnick by car ferry or take the passenger ferry to Mevagissey. Visit the Fowey shops, galleries and pubs and retaurants or take a gentle stroll through Fowey to the beach at Readymoney.

From Vine Cottage you can go horse riding, whether you want a lesson or to go out pony trekking, we have stables 15 minutes away by car.

There are golf clubs close by for those who want to spend a day on the green.

You might want to spend time fishing, rod hire can be arranged through Vine Cottage or the local Fishing shop, who can also give advice on rods permits and the best places to go.

Sea fishing trips are usually available in Mevagissy.
