We enjoyed our stay at Arkle house. The hosts were very friendly and were very accommodating for any special requests. The location of the property near a reasonably good supermarket and restaurant is a plus point as well. The house is decorated nicely and is especially attractive for long stays with a homely atmosphere. Read less

"Clean, Comfortable & Welcoming B&B"
We stayed one night en route to Giant's Causeway & Belfast. Directions were good and we received a warm welcome. This lovely older house set in a lovely quiet garden seemed secluded but was close to main routes. The room was bright & clean & beds were comfortable. Breakfast in the delightful dining room was plentiful & delicious. Though not exploring Derry itself, we attended Mass at the local church just a few minutes away and had a nice meal beside a real fire in the Pub across the road. Read less

All rooms have ensuite facilities and tv. There is a guest kitchen where snacks or even full meals can be prepared. Guests have use of the garden, patio and barbecue facilities. A separate tv lounge is also available. Many of our guests refer to Arkle House as a home from home, and that's the feeling you get as you drive in, even before you get inside. The house is absolutely bursting with character and charm. The dining room and tv lounge have original fire places dating back to circa 1890. The old bathroom has a Victorian roll top bath dated 1903, and there are many more charming features.

We are ideally located about 5 minutes drive from Derry city centre 25 to 30 minutes from City of Derry airport, close to the university and Templemore sports complex .Donegal, the Inishowen peninsula and the Giant's Causeway are easy driving distances. Foyle International and Derry City golf courses are only 10 to 15 minutes drive. The two fantastic links courses at Bayliffin Golf club are only 35 to 40 minutes.
