We had a very warm welcome at Greenbank with lots of useful information and advice on a good walk nearby. The setting is incredible, surrounded by mountains and a short stroll from the lake, the views were breathtaking. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was really tasty and the lady who served us was very friendly and sweet. We loved playing scrabble in front of the log fire in the sitting room on a cold night! Greenbank was the perfect place to stay, was sad to leave. Read less

Greenbank Country House from the elevated site there are magnificent views of the valley and Derwentwater. it is 3 1/2 miles south of Keswick, ideally situated for fell alking, climbing and toring the Lake District.
The rooms in the house are spacious and comfortable. the are two lounges both with log fires and television we offer our guest a tray of tea on arrival. Nine bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor, are attratively decorated and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, clock radio. All have en-suite bath and hand shower, toilets facilities.
