Welcome to The Blue Pig in Kirkby Lonsdale. This delightful bed & breakfast accommodation is situated in a newly renovated 17th Century cottage. The three rooms all have flat screen television, coffee making facilities, memory foam mattresses and en suite bathrooms, each with heated floors. Our cosy lounge with a log-burning stove can be made available for our guests to relax and enjoy peace and quiet, and at the same time be at the heart of the hustle and bustle of this busy but beautiful market town.
Wireless internet is available to all of our guests and is free of charge. The Blue Pig is ideally situated for guests to explore the town and visit the surrounding countryside. After eating a hearty breakfast made with fresh local produce, step outside and you are only minutes away from the 9th Century church and the breathtaking Ruskin's view. John Ruskin once said "it is the most beautiful view in England, hence the world".
Take a lovely walk by the river Lune and you will see Devils Bridge built in the 12th Century. Go north from Kirkby Lonsdsale and in 25 minutes you will be in the Lake District; go south and in 10 minutes you will be in the Yorkshire Dales; go west and you will be at the coast in 20 minutes.
The Blue Pig has two car parking spaces which are for guests to use, and because we have some delightful places to dine you do not have to drive. Our aim at the Blue Pig is to make your stay as pleasant and as comfortable as possible.
We ask our guests to adopt the following proceedure to help the enviromentand avoid unnecessary washing: to leave used wet towels in the shower and return usable ones to to the towel rail.
