The room was clean and nicely furnished. Breakfasts were very nice with lots of choice. Easy parking on the road outside and only a short walk to get food from either Bowness or Windermere

The guest house is personally run by its owner, Leigh Giles, and is the perfect accommodation base from which to explore the stunning scenery and natural beauty of the Lake District.
Situated in a quiet residential area close to Baddeley Clock Tower, the midway point between Windermere and Bowness, Montfort Cottage is just a 10 minute walk from either village and their abundance of shops, restaurants and traditional pubs, and a short distance from Lake Windermere itself.
Rooms at Montfort Cottage are available to reserve on either a Room Only or Bed & Breakfast basis, giving guests a choice of tariff to suit their requirements, with prices starting from just £25 per person per night.
A complimentary continental breakfast in bed, comprising of croissant, pain-au-chocolat, toast with butter & preserves and a glass of chilled orange, apple or cranberry juice, is included when you book on a Room Only basis for a minimum of two nights. A full cooked breakfast is also available for just an addidtional £5pppd, bookable on arrival.

Environmental Statement - we recycle all newspapers/magazines, glass bottles, cans, cardboard and plastics. We request that guests only put their towelling for laundering when absolutely necessary and they switch off all electrical appliances and lighting when not in use.
