For the price I would recommend anyone to stay here. John and Joan can't do enough to make you feel welcome. The super king size bed is the most comfortable bed I have slept in. The breakfast was perfect and you never felt rushed. We will definitely be returning next year wonderful hospitality. Read less

"A warm welcome awaits."
We stayed for one night and had two rooms. One room for my elderly mum and one for me and my young daughter. It took us a little while to find the old post office but there was a warm welcome and cup of tea when we did get there which was lovely. As we were local to Derbyshire we could tell the owners were knowledgable about the area. Being tucked away the old post office was lovely and quiet overnight- no annoying road noise here! Read less
Likes:
The rooms were a good size, nice and clean with comfy beds. Although not en-suite there was an excellent big bathroom down the hall which again was spotless. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast.
Dislikes:
Mum struggled with the steep stairs and daugter was disappointed that there was no tv. There was however free wi-fi which made daughter happy.

Die Pension lebt von den netten Wirtsleuten und einem gewissen Flair.
Dislikes:
Gewöhnungsbedürftig ist das Gemeinschaftsbad mit Toilette (guter Zustand), wenn alle Zimmer vermietet sind.

Located approximately 300 yards from Sett Valley Trail, two miles from foot of Kinder scout,of mass trespass fame, and two miles from Torrs millenium walkway, New Mills. Ideal for walkers and cyclists or lazy breaks.

The Old Post Office - Around Us is The Peak District is famous for walking and many quality local walks can be taken right from the door step. The most famous local walk being Kinder Scout but that is only the start.

With the “Sett Valley Trail” (reaching from Hayfield to New Mills) within a few hundred yards, bike rides are also a big favour with visitors.

Even if your stay is to be more sedentary our aim is to make your stay as comfortable and as memorable as possible.

Our rates are some of the best around with service and comfort coming first what ever the price!

Nobody likes it when prices are hiked up during so called “high seasons”, so we don’t!

Same rates all year round, nice and simple.
