Different room to last time when we stayed in the main house, but I like quirky rooms anyway.
Dislikes:
No...other than the mist, but then having been coming up to the peak District for 13 years, we've never encountered mist/fog, so it was about time that we did!

"magnificant rural location"
very welcoming, a splendid house and business venture. We enjoyed the rural location and the immediacy of walks straight out of the front door. We regularly come up to Castleton/Edale often 3 times annually, and by chance we couldn't stay in our usual Castleton pub, and found Rushop Hall by accident, and we would certainly like to stay again. We were impressed with the quirky cottages too and might also try one of them next time perhaps. Read less

"beautiful location, but tricky in the snow"
We had a terrific night at Rushop Hall. The room was comfortable and very cosy, and the location is fantastic for anyone walking in the Peak District. The owners were very accommodating, and went out of their way to be helpful and provide dinner on very short notice. Beware - unless you have a 4x4 you will struggle to get in or out of the property in the snow; access is via a private road that is relatively steep and is not salted / gritted. There is parking in a lay-by on the main road. Read less

Accommodation was very peaceful, lovely countryside. The room was big and comfortable and the use of a sitting room was an added treat. We had an evening meal in the evening which was perfect.

We stayed in the converted barn in Boots room above the No Car Cafe. It was a beautiful, spacious room with great views and a lovely little window seat to enjoy a cup of tea. The bathroom was fab!

Nothing. Jan and Neil were very accommodating. We just wished we had another night to stay instead of just one!!

The food was amazing! Friendly and helpful owners.

The rooms and the dining hall are stylish and really complement the character of the building.
Dislikes:
Being November I arrived in the dark. There were almost no exterior lights. I thought I'd got the wrong place! Nearly ended up on my face going down the steps toward the front door.

We loved that breakfast was just downstairs. There was a good choice and it was beautifully cooked and served efficiently. The heated towel rail meant that there were always lovel warm and soft towels
Dislikes:
Only one little niggle- no shaver/electric toothbrush socket. TV a little small although only one of us watched it and the other thought it was fine!

"Utter peace in High Peak wilds"
It was only for one night, as I was taking my daughter up to university in Manchester. I wish it could have been longer. I was looking for a place deep in the countryside and that is exactly what I found. The house is handsome on a working farm -- with horses and other livestock. The views from the plain and elegant rooms through the huge sash windows are breathtaking. Even for just one night, it was balm for the soul... Read less
