A warm welcome upon arrival, we were shown to a clean, pleasant room with a cup of tea waiting for us. An excellent breakfast offered in the morning (ideal before long walks). The owners were helpful and knowledgeable of the area re. things to do, places to eat etc. When my partner and I return to the Peak District again for a break, we will look no further! Read less

"Peaceful, idyllic location with some feature limitations"
The stay was peaceful, though at times limited with the one main door. Hosts were sweet but breakfast was only served until 8:45am which was slightly disruptive if you were looking for a weekend of relaxing. Would have been ideal for work, but we did feel restricted to timings. Read less
Likes:
Location was beautiful and peaceful, within a good distance from tourist hotspots like Castleton and Bakewell. Rooms were quiet and new towels were brought every day.
Dislikes:
We would have liked a room key/ front door key to give us the options to come and go as we pleased, a little more freely.

This recently converted barn lies within its own 4.1/2 acre ground in the peaceful rural hamlet of Aston which is surrounded by the dramatic hill scenery of Derbyshire’s Peak National Park for which this area is justly famous.

The property forms an ideal base for walking and visiting many beauty spots and places of interest including Chatsworth House and Gardens, Haddon Hall, the plague village of Eyam, the old market town of Bakewell and the Blue John Caves of Castleton, with easy access to the Pennine Way and Kinder Scout.

Local activities include hang gliding, rock climbing, open air swimming pool, golf courses, gliding, walking, fishing, pot holing and mountain biking around the Dams and Hills.

The B & B accommodation consists of two en-suite bedrooms, one familly room and one twin / triple room of single beds, all having colour TV and coffee and tea making facilities. In addition there is ample car parking, and pets, ponies and horses can be accommodated by arrangement.
