"Improved on acquaintance ."
Initially we thought the rooms looked a little off season, but inside, although small, our room was warm, clean and comfortable, and the en suite facilities again small but clean, and the shower gave hot water. Chris, the owner, had booked a table for us for a meal at theFlintlock pub, and the meal was the best I have eaten in a pub for years. A good night's sleep, followed by an excellent full English breakfast. Chris warmed to us once he had established we were not elderly terrorists! Read less

It turned out much better than the initial appearance led us to believe. It was very easy to access from the A303

"No stay"
Upon arrival we were shocked to find property looked run down and unwelcoming. The patio area and furniture was green and moss covered. The hedges are in need of pruning. No effort had been made to tidy it up. Did not stay after looking into room through window to see the oil heater, although later told this was additional heating, why would property need additional heating in first place, obviously due to cold and damp. Reception area and adjoining property looked derelict and full of junk. Read less
Likes:
Nothing, we left after taking long look at the property. The property has not been looked after to give good impression.
Dislikes:
The actual property is nothing like the photograph, it is dark and dingy. The patio area is awful and possibly good base for backpackers, not really a nice b & b.
