"A blast from the past!"
We enjoyed our stay at this quaint and inviting Pub and Inn. We were traveling down memory lane for my husband's childhood schools, and stayed at the pub he played snooker, (I'm not English, but the game involves at type of pool table with pool balls and cues). We arrived during the World Cup soccer pre games, which our hosts set up the TV to allow us to watch. The drinks flowed, the pub man made us sandwiches and we felt at home. Our bed was comfortable, fluffy pillows and very clean. Read less

Loved it all! The garden outside is perfect for those warm summer evenings, the perfect English Breakfast and everyone was so hospitable. The night we stayed was the Trivia Night. Lot's of fun had.
Dislikes:
We were upstairs where the pitched ceilings are, only an issue for my tall husband, yet it did not bother him. No bumps. ;-)

Easy booking and check in. Member of staff carried case up to room.
Dislikes:
Noise coming from beer garden. To be expected from a local pub. It was a hot night so could not close windows. However, noise died down before 11pm.

The Talbot was purchased by Heartstone Inns in October 2016 and has since undergone a tasteful development of the bar and restaurant along with the introduction of a completely new drink menu. We have 5 rooms, all en suite with baths and showers with flat screen TVs and tea and coffee making facilities and mini fridges. Plus, we have our self-contained 'Family suite', containing a twin room and a double room, with a flat screen TV tea & coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. this suite has it's own large, modern shower room.

Our welcoming and cosy bar will be open from 5pm weekdays and from 12pm on Saturday and Sunday.
