The double glazing not effiient so traffic noise was unpleasant through the night.

I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and do hope you will come again.We are on a main road so there will always be some traffic noise which can be a problem to some guests particularly if you live in a quiet area yourselves.The twin room at the back of the house is quieter so if you think road noise will be a problem then ask for that one.As for the mattress what is comfortable for one is not for another you can't win!.It is only 2 years old so does not need replacing yet.

The Prince Bishop's Guest House is a small County Durham guesthouse in Bowburn, near to the A1(M). Regular Guests include Tourists, Business people, Golfing Enthusiasts and many other visitors. Convenient for many Durham and North East visitor attractions including Beamish Open Air Museum, Durham Castle, The Metro Centre, Angel of The North etc.
All rooms available on a Bed & Breakfast basis, priced per night. All rooms have their own Hospitality Tray, including Tea and Coffee Making facilities. Ironing Board, iron and Shoe Cleaning equipment are available on request. The Guesthouse is very easy to get to by either car or bus. It is near to the A1 Motorway, Junction 61 and is on a very good bus route.
