Local Area Information
Overhailes farm overlooks the River Tyne and Hailes Castle, originally built in the late 1200's but later expanded during the 1300's and 1400's. East Lothian is home to a number of other castles and numerous other attractions such as the Scottish Seabird Centre, and the National Museum of Flight where you can explore Concorde! Traprain Law is a short walk from the farm, and there are many beautiful walks in the area and of course there's always Golf!
How to Find Us
Haddington(approx 4 miles)
Overhailes Farm is situated in East Lothian, off the A199, between Haddington and East Linton. It can be accessed from the A1 at either Haddington (Abbotsview Junction) or Dunbar.
From the North...
Follow the Edinburgh City By-pass (A720) signposted Berwick-upon-Tweed. Leave the dual carriageway at the Abbotsview junction. At the roundabout take the second exit (A199). Follow the A199 for approximately 3 miles. Turn left off the A199 half a mile after passing Monksmuir Caravan Site.
Dunbar(approx 6 miles)
From the South...
Continue on the A1 until you reach the Spott roundabout. Take the second exit, signposted A1 (Edinburgh). At the Thistley Cross roundabout take the third exit, signposted A199 (East Linton). At the Beltonford roundabout take the 2nd exit (A199). Continue on the A199 for approximately 2 miles. At the Phantassie roundabout take the first exit, signposted Edinburgh. Continue on the A199 for approximately 2 miles. Turn right off the A199, signposted Over Hailes.
