The proprietor was very friendly and helpful with city information and the staff were very polite and accomodating. The swing music accompanying breakfast was lovely
Dislikes:
Nothing really, decor could maybe do with a little tidying up but since it is not expensive you don't mind so much.

I mended the bathroom shelf in the first room with some pieces of card and tweezers to tighten the screws. the second room didn't have a shelf. There are a lot of little things that needed to be done to make the room better.None of the doors quite closed properly and the cold tap didn't seem to work when the shower was running. Read less

The manager and staff were lovely, helpful,polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
Dislikes:
I would have paid more to stay in a room that worked properly. If the proprietor could get an odd job person to go through each room and mend the wonky doors/fittings it would be a better experience.

Heating uncontrollable, TV was not even programmed in, bed old and decrepid. The bedspread & cushions may have looked pretty but needed to be laundered. Curtain was crap. Having to climb 3 flights of stairs into a pokey dirty room, having to walk 100yds for breakfast to the main guest house. Parking my vehicle on a tight piece of 'waste land'.
