Thanks for your geenrous review.
Softness/hardness of beds are tricky since people's tastes vary so much. We are now doubling the fabric softener for the towels!

"Beautiful house; family life intrudes on comfort of guests."
Interesting! The house itself is old and beautiful and it was a privilidge to stay in it. However; the family very much get on with their lives; wearing underpants to visit the loo; squashing flies on the mirror,; rowing outside bedroom door at 4 am and storming off out and slamming the front door. Breakfast was served early due to owner going out (was arranged when we arrived) and was cold as on table when we got down. It was nice and plenty of choice of cereal tea coffee etc. Read less

The building was beautiful; the garden would be lovely but full of the nursery school equipment. It was cheap and it was an adventure to say the least.
Dislikes:
The row at 4 am! The beds were very hard and the linin heavy and unyeilding. House is in need of renovation in places with alarming cracks in the ceiling; but am sure it is expensive to do.
Response from Rothmans Bed & Breakfast:
Thank you for this review - I shall address the issues you raise
Unfortunately, you hit some Halloween partying - sorry!

The owner barely spent 5 minutes with me, just to take the balance of my bill and show me my room. Never offered to help me with my luggage.Never saw him except on the last day when I handed the key back. Toilets were absolutely filthy and I had to clean the one in the bathroom before I used them. No proper curtains in the bedroom overlooking the street below, just nets. No milk in the bedroom for the tea facility, you had to go down in the fridge of the morning room...Will never go back there. Read less
