Location lovely garden with lots of wildlife.

Response from Tinkers Furze:
It was nice to have such a full table of guests to join in the commemoration of my grandfatdher's ultimate sacrifice for king and country. I also read out the King (George V)'s letter sent to every man who died and exhorting those left behind "Let those who come after see to it that his name be not forgotten". D'Arcy Mander, your name will not be forgotten, especially with your portrait surveying the guests' dining table each morning with his wife opposite.

Response from Tinkers Furze:
Am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. We don't often have deer in the garden but more recently have had visitations from deer, squirrels, foxes and a fieldmouse who feasts from our birdtable just outside on the patio. Our road is a no through road so we get little noise and more wildlife.

Likes:
The peace and quiet, the comfortable bed, good shower and friendliness of the owners.
Dislikes:
No, except I prefer a shower in a separate bathroom rather in in the bedroom itself, but in truth this was not a problem.
Response from Tinkers Furze:
If you want to come back and try our bedroom with separate en suite containing Vicgtorian clawfoot bath and separate shower in a large bathroom you need to give us a ring and make sure it is not too short notice and we will try to put you in that room (ask for Rm 4). It does not however have the magnificent view over the garden or the balcony where you can sit out and enjoy the view weather permitting. We also have a separate garage accommodation which has separate bathroom and sitting area.

Tinkers Furze is an original Pool and Sons house dating from the 1920's, situated in the Blue Triangle conservation area in Fleet close to town centre and 5 minutes from the station by taxi. It is a non-smoking household (smoking is permitted on the patio outside). French and German spoken. No pets please.

The bedrooms are spacious (two with French windows onto balcony) and with views over the extensive garden. All bedrooms are en suite (apart from one which has a private bathroom with bath and shower), all rooms have TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryers. It has a large well-maintained garden which visitors are welcome to enjoy. Wifi broadband access is available in all bedrooms. Tinkers Furze is convenient for Farnborough Airshow and there are several National Trust properties nearby, some with open air concerts and opera performances in summer. We are located near to Caesars Camp complete with (remains of) a Roman camp on top of the hill, and very close to Fleet Pond is the largest lake in Hampshire - a popular haunt of wildfowl. It is convenient for Elvetham Heath, Waterfront and Ancells Farn business parks.

Basinstoke Canal runs through the area and is a popular area for walking, cycling, boating, picnicing and fishing. Explore the ruins of King John's Castle (believed to date from the 13th century) at North Warnborough, Visit the many country pubs some with excellent menus, as well as a range of restaurants covering all types of cuisine in Fleet.
