My two friends and I have just enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at the lovely West Lodge. We immediately felt welcomed by Robyn who helped us with recommendations on the local area, not to mention anything we needed in the room. The family room was nice and spacious, the beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, we couldn't have asked for anything more, from that or the stay overall!! Read less

No problem.
There is quite a bit of drive though to reach south of the new forest (eg: beaulieu)

Thank you for your coments Matthieu, unfortunately we cannot change our location.
I accept that Beaulieu is a time consuming journey for an evening meal, but there were other alternatives closer to West Lodge, most notably Les Mirabelles which has an excellent reputation or Lime Wood, which friends highly recommend.
However we appreciate your comments and thank you for being so complimentary.

It really is nice from a hosts point of view to help people make the most of their time in the area, and for them to appreciate, and take the advice that is given.
I am not sure you would get that advice in a Budget hotel or a busy B&B.

We had a really relaxing stay, an escape from our busy lives!! West Lodge is in a beautiful setting and we could not fault anything during our stay. Robin and Penny have thought of everything and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were to a very high standard, so clean, comfortable and spacious. Our children (11 and 14) made themselves comfortable, they enjoyed playing the games and reading the books in the rooms. The breakfast was AMAZING!! We would most certainly recommend West Lodge.
