"Perfect in every way."
Both my husband and I stayed at this most wonderful B and B recently. The location was perfect, the room was beautiful and clean, with the log burner a wonderful addition. The pub really was only a minutes walk away and the food with views was beautiful. Mostly we appreciated our picnic breakfast with plenty of choice, prepared by ourselves at our leisure, no having to get up and dressed, what a treat. And a huge thank you to the welcoming owners who were able to provide a gluten free breakf Read less

The room that awaited us was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and full of timeless features. The bed was super comfy and was made up in luxury bedding. Slept like dormice! The log fire blazing in the dark added that romantic feeling.
Cooking own breakfast was great as you could get up when you want Read less

I remembered to take my slippers, husband forgot his. You do need slippers to appreciate the added beauty of aged wooden and tiled floors.

Excellent accommodation in a quiet corner of Herefordshire. Steve and Alison were very friendly. We enjoyed the "make your own" breakfast. It allowed us to start the day at our own pace. The variety, quantity and quality of the food was impressive. There were places to visit close at hand and pubs to eat at nearby (one little more than 100m). Read less

A stone's throw from the River Wye and in the border lands between Herefordshire in the English West Midlands & Powys in Mid-Wales, we are ideally situated as a touring base for getting to know the picturesque Wye Valley and beyond.

We are less than 5 miles from Hay on Wye, the famous bookshop capital, where you will find a variety of small, individual shops, cafes, an ice cream parlour, antique shops, a great deli & a Thursday morning market, to name but a few of its attractions. The annual Hay festival is attended by thousands of visitors, including celebrated authors, thinkers, scientists, musicians and film makers at the end of May/beginning of June. If you intend to visit during this period, please book early to avoid disappointment!

The cathedral city of Hereford, with its renowned chain library and mappa mundi, and the market town of Leominster are approximately 15 miles east and north east of Whitney on Wye. The beautiful town of Ludlow, well known for its high number of reputable eateries is within striking distance by car. More locally, you can drive along the Herefordshire 'Black and White Trail', a circular route which takes you through a number of villages with pretty houses and churches. There is many an interesting stop-off point for a stroll or refreshment along the way.

Throughout the area, there is a growing focus on the 'slow food' movement and great pride is taken in the quality of local produce, such as cheese production, cider farms, chocolate making, micro breweries and, of course, many wonderful pubs, cafes and restaurants to relax and unwind in.

For the more energetic, there is a range of activities available within easy reach of the Agent's House Bed and Breakfast. Walks along Offa's Dyke and the Herefordshire Trail, as well as local trails direct from the house. Hay Bluff, the Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons are also just a short drive away.
