This charming, converted 19th century mill offers comfortable accommodation with free Wi-Fi and garden views in Hereford’s countryside.

Applewood offers secure, spacious and private accommodation of an apartment with sitting/dining room, double bedroom and luxury bathroom, with bath and shower. Breakfast is included in your booking for no extra charge. At the weekends we offer a full English breakfast, during the week its a continental option.

Your westerly aspect includes a field with a duck pond and chickens. We provide high quality bed linen and towels to make your visit special.

This is a great area for walking, several footpaths pass through the village, the closest being a few hundred yards from the B&B. Some very special walks are within a few miles from here. A little further afield you can enjoy panoramic views from the top of the Malvern Hills. In the neighbouring village of Putley you can learn how cider is made, and taste the produce of award winning local cider - Once upon a tree . The historic house of Hellens is open from Easter until the end of September.

The Cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester are all approximately half an hour’s drive. The Regency town of Cheltenham is approxiately 40 minutes drive. We are also convenient for the Wye valley – enjoy a river trip at Symonds Yat and the views from Yat Rock. The local town of Ledbury has many old timber framed buildings, museums and tearooms. The area offers many cultural events, including plays, concerts and films at the Malvern Theatres. The area is also home to the annual Three Choirs Festival. Hereford is home to the outstanding contemporary dance company: 2Faced Dance Company

If you enjoy historic houses, visit Hellens or one of the nearby National Trust properties, including Berrington Hall and Croft Castle – both near Leominster, or the exquisite Brockhampton Estate near Bromyard. If you like castles, the Welsh Marches is an area rich in history.
