"Great Break"
Nice area. Sevenstars was in the centre of town and close to the river - great access to local amenities. Very friendly. Food was good. Room was great.
Because it was outside the main guesthouse we had the benefit of a table and chairs outside the room on a little patio area - perfect for the lovely weather as we could have a drink outside when we returned from our days out. Hay-on-Wye had lots of interesting shops and enough pubs and restaurants to give a good choice for the evenings. Read less
Likes:
The room we had was lovely and quirky! Clean and pleasant with a very good shower en suite. There were patio doors that lead directly into the pool area so was perfect for an early morning swim!
Dislikes:
Lack of phone signal - but not the fault of the guesthouse!
Response from The Seven Stars:
Thabnk you so much for your review. Hope you found the pool really useful in this hot weather. Hope your trip was good back to Gloucester. Hope to see you again.
Regards
Di

"Small, comfortable, friendly"
We were greeted almost at the door, shown to our room and given a brief round-up of local pubs and other places to eat. Despite it being the coldest April day in living memory, the room was warm and the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast, one full English, one vegetarian was excellent. Top of the list of places to stay in Hay on our next visit. Read less
