"Great Location, Great Hosts, Great Stay"
Found the Steppes on a review site and couldn’t have been more pleased they had a room available. We wanted a quiet stay after a busy planned weekend. Although you felt remote from the city of Hereford, it actually is very close and easy to navigate. Upon arrival, the hosts were so welcoming and friendly we instantly felt at ease and relaxed. The room was superb. Clean, airy, plenty of room and had every facility you could imagine along with endless amounts of tourist information. Read less

"A comfortable hidden B&B perfectly placed to visit Hereford"
WE were in Hereford to visit the Weeping Window display at the Cathedral and to see family nearby. The Steppes B&B was only ten minutes from the city centre, but hidden away in a quiet village and delightful countryside. Lin booked dinner for us in the village pub, ten minutes pleasant walk away. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and there were unusual choices. Not all the regular fare! Read less

The thatched cottage is beautiful. The rooms are in a modern cedar extension with all mod cons, opening onto a private courtyard. Breakfast is served in the family kitchen at a large shared table.

Set in beautiful Herefordshire countryside yet only minutes from Hereford City centre, The Steppes Bed & Breakfast offers stylish accommodation with the luxury you would expect from a top rate bed and breakfast establishment. An historical building in its own right, The Steppes is said to date back to the 16th Century when Henry VIII was King of England and England was torn by the Restoration.

Although we are located in the heart of some very pretty Herefordshire countryside, we have adapted our facilities to enable everyone to enjoy the location. There are four delightful ensuite rooms, contained within an extension and annexe to the house, offering the highest standards of comfort. Full accessability is provided to three rooms and there is a flight of stairs to the fourth.

As mentioned above, The Steppes dates back to 1530, and today is a happy home for Lin and Martin. Lin is a keen advocate for self-sufficiency and as such has a large vegetable plot stocked with supplies for the year, plus chickens, sheep and bees. If the bees have been busy this year, there will be honey available for sale – just ask Lin for details.

Breakfast eggs are supplied courtesy of local free range chickens and all ingredients are sourced from local Hereford suppliers where possible.

Each room has been lavishly furnished with the latest designs and equipped with crisp white bed linen and fluffy white towels, free WiFi, Freeview colour TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and fridge. Large windows look out to the gardens and pond, offering pleasant views at any time of the year.

We have one king suite with lounge area, two king en suite rooms, and one twin room. Walkers and cyclists and dogs (in the Red Room) are welcome.

Lin and Martin, your hosts, are both keen to bring you an experience you will want to repeat, whether you are on holiday or on a business trip. They will assist with local knowledge
