"Our stay"
On arrival the staff were very friendly and remained so throughout our stay. The room was a good size and the bed was comfy with clean linen and clean towels. Sadly it was very cold and the heating (although adjusted but the main thermostat and the room thermostat) remained luke warm. The window panes were single glass and had cracks which added to the coldness. We were given a heater for the room but it made little to no differences to the temperature.

The positioning of the BnB was great Read less
Likes:
Being made to feel welcome, the cute off balance of the original building and the views.
Dislikes:
Being very cold in the room and the shower having mould which made us not want to use it. In the present state I’d be a little reluctant to recommend but if the decode was tidied up and the room made.

Surrounding area's are of a natural beauty and include, Symonds Yat East/West which is a 10 minuet drive down the A40 towards Monmouth. A walk can be taken on the East side of Symonds up to the Yat Rock where you can take in the panoramic views of the Wye Valley. Kingfisher Cruises operate a scheduled service up and down the River Wye. A ferry can pull you over to the West side. On the West is the Leisure Park and Butterfly Zoo.

Go over the border to Wales by visiting the historic town of Monmouth which is just a short 15 minuet drive.

The Hills farms fields and Valleys of the Hereford country side has changed little over the years. You will still find many of the Black and White houses. The Cathedral located at the heart of town still holds the Mappa Mundi, the famous medieval map f the world. There is also a cider museum which is well worth a visit.

Gloucester is 35 minutes is the other direction where the newly opened Docklands Factory outlet can be found for those that like to shop
