"Generous hosts"
Just stayed one night before very early flight next morning but given a lovely packed breakfast in lieu of missing the cooked one. Lovely rooms with nice little touches such as biscuits, big shampoo etc bottles in the shower. Nice comfy furnishings. You knew they hadn't stinted and having stayed at places that charged the same but given the bare minimum, it was lovely to be trusted with their rooms and given such a high standard. Beautiful location, just wish we could have stayed longer. Read less

Neat but tiny en-suite - Nice to have proper toiletries - not sachets.
Dislikes:
Unfortunately the bed was extremely soft and unsupportive for my back. Very little sleep despite pain killers.
Response from Inchrye Bed & Breakfast:
Thank you for taking the time to review Inchrye and I am sorry you found us not to your liking. I shall look into the musty smell you mentioned and all the beds are different as are peoples tastes. I am a bit disappointed that you sounded unhappy with the Take away Breakfast I left out for you and would like to take the opportunity to mention that this was a courtesy offered to you as in general if our guests are unable to keep to our stated times we do not usually offer anything else.

Inchrye Bed & Breakfast is in the setting of a victorian house built in the year 1901. We are situated on the shore of the Moray Firth looking across to Channery Point and the beautiful Black Isle. We are at the end of the historic village of Ardersier.

Dolphins are regular visitors to our area and are often seen just a half mile away at Fort George, we have also been fortunate enough to have seen at least 20 of these beautiful creatures on the beach at the bottom of our garden.

Fort George which is a short walk by road or along the beach is only a mile away and is also an excellent spot for dolphin watching.

Inverness airport is a mere 1.5 miles away. There is a very good bus service running between Inverness and Ardersier which stops at the airport and also the large retail park on route to Inverness. A lift to or from the airport when possible can be arranged for a small Fee..

We at Inchrye feel very privileged to live in the country side where we do. There are many many different birds in the area also we are a 2 minute walk from the common ground which is home to dozens of different varieties of butterflies also rabbits and the occasional roe deer. This is a very pretty walk, which we ourselves take on a daily basis.

Some of the local attractions are Cawdor Castle, Clava Cairns, Culloden battlefield and many country walks to name but a few.

There is a very good eating place more or less across the road from us which offers good food at a reasonable price....
