The Witchingham is located close to Holyhead Port (with ferries departing daily to Dunlaoghaire and Dublin) and close to Holyhead Railway Station. Both can be accessed by foot over the Celtic Bridge within 10 minutes.

We provide a warm welcome to all visitors and we make a special effort to ensure the facilities that we provide are very clean and comfortable. We have recently refurbished all the rooms including the breakfast room to a high standard and continue to improve when we can. Each room is ensuite (with the exception of a single room), has WiFi, HD TV and is provided with a welcome tray, towels for each guest, hairdryer, corkscrew (wine glasses can be requested) and bedside lamps for each guest. A comfortable chair is also provided in each room.
Access can be provided to the house and your room if you wish to arrive before or after the booking in times

The accommodation is located within ao the beach and enjoys views from some rooms over Holyhead Harbour. Its central location means there are good pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Enjoy the stunning local scenery, Coastal Path and Blue Flag beaches nearby. During the summer months a land train runs along Newry beach and July brings the Maritime Festival to the same area.

Around Holyhead there is excellent fishing, golfing and sailing facilities, wonderful scenery, walks and beaches where you can easily lose yourself and relax for a few days. There are horse stables nearby, and a water sports centre where activities such as canoeing, orienteering, etc can be enjoyed. The local RSPB centre at South Stack boasts such birds as Puffins, Chough, wheatear, stonechat, peregrine falcon, etc. and has a lovely cafe. There is a Maritime Museum and cafe located in the old lifeboat hut on the promenade at Newry Beach, within 200 yds.

From Anglesey, ferries operate to Dublin with the superfast ferry only taking 99 minutes to complete the single journey. A day trip to Dublin is easily achievable.
