Lovely rooms, excellent breakfast, very obliging service, very beautifull view to Loch Leven
Dislikes:
Traffic noice nearly the whole night due to autoroute.
Response from Kelson Lodge:
Hello
Trust you had a good journey back to Germany. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the traffic noise, I suspect a window must have been open, perhaps in the hallway or adjoining bathroom, as with all windows and vents closed it is very unlikely you would hear any noise from the motorway in room 1 - this was our bedroom for 2 years before doing B & B!! Anyhow great to see you would be happy to return and we would certainly love to see you again. Best George & Liz

George & Liz look forward to welcoming you to Kelson Lodge Kinross, a superior Bed & Breakfast in a rural location with stunning views over Loch Leven to the Castle Island yet only a few minutes from the M90 with access to all major cities in Scotland. Kinross town centre is less than a mile where there are shops, banks, post office, hotels, leisure centre including a swimming pool, library, state of the art community campus facilities and several excellent restaurants. Kelson Lodge began life as a 1960's bungalow but after a recent major extension and refurbishment programme has resulted in a very comfortable contemporary home. We offer two spacious double bedrooms, one with en suite facilities, the other with a private adjoining bathroom. Both bedrooms have plasma TV, dvd player, hospitality tray and hair dryer. Wi-fi access is free.

The views across Loch Leven to the Castle Island are arguably the best in Kinross-shire. From April to October a ferry runs from the Pier to Loch Leven Castle, this is operated by Historic Scotland and there is a small charge.

The Loch Leven Heritage Trail is a very do-able walk around the shores of Loch Leven and many activities are available locally including golf (with St Andrews and Gleneagles both within an hour drive), fishing on the renowned waters of Loch Leven for the indigenous brown trout, Scottish Gliding Union headquarters and airfield, hot air ballooning, microlight flights, RSPB Vane Farm and nearby Balado is the venue for the annual T in the Park music festival.
