Liz and George were fabulous hosts, even helping us to find our next BB&B on our trip. Our room was bright and cheery with a wonderful view of Loch Leven. Breakfast was amazing.

Response from Kelson Lodge:
It was a pleasure to meet you both and to have you stay with us at Kelson Lodge. We are always happy to book onward accommodation for our guests, often it's easier for us when we generally know the country better than our visitors. Glad you were impressed with the breakfasts! Many thanks again for the kind gifts - the cinnamon/clove/cardamom soap smells (almost) good enough to eat!! Warm regards. George & Liz

George & Liz look forward to welcoming you to Kelson Lodge Kinross, a superior Bed & Breakfast in a rural location with stunning views over Loch Leven to the Castle Island yet only a few minutes from the M90 with access to all major cities in Scotland. Kinross town centre is less than a mile where there are shops, banks, post office, hotels, leisure centre including a swimming pool, library, state of the art community campus facilities and several excellent restaurants. Kelson Lodge began life as a 1960's bungalow but after a recent major extension and refurbishment programme has resulted in a very comfortable contemporary home. We offer two spacious double bedrooms, one with en suite facilities, the other with a private adjoining bathroom. Both bedrooms have plasma TV, dvd player, hospitality tray and hair dryer. Wi-fi access is free.

The views across Loch Leven to the Castle Island are arguably the best in Kinross-shire. From April to October a ferry runs from the Pier to Loch Leven Castle, this is operated by Historic Scotland and there is a small charge.

The Loch Leven Heritage Trail is a very do-able walk around the shores of Loch Leven and many activities are available locally including golf (with St Andrews and Gleneagles both within an hour drive), fishing on the renowned waters of Loch Leven for the indigenous brown trout, Scottish Gliding Union headquarters and airfield, hot air ballooning, microlight flights, RSPB Vane Farm and nearby Balado is the venue for the annual T in the Park music festival.
