"Good location for Coast to Coast trail"
Everything was OK apart from the threatening notice prominently displayed in the bathroom which stated that guests would be fined GBP One Hundred if the saniflow toilet flush system became blocked, even if it was not their fault! I don't think that a saniflow system is robust enough for use in a hotel - so why blame guests if it breaks down? Strange. Apart from this, the staff were great, but the hotel is tired and badly in need of refurbishment. Read less
Likes:
Friendly staff. Proximity to the Coast to Coast trail. Upon leaving the Farmers Arms, I walked 17 miles across the Vale of Mobray to Ingleby Arncliffe near Osmotherley.
Dislikes:
The threatening saniflow notice in my bathroom. External access to my bedroom. My case could have been stored in a more secure location for collection by the luggage carrier.
