Our stay was very nice, the staff and the Pub was excellent. We stayed in the Lady Ann's Hotel last year in York and it was nice but too impersonal. The Rose & Crown is just yards outside the walls and only a ten minute stroll into the City.
The room was of a high standard, better than any hotel!
Breakfast was superb and sets you up for the day. We also ate in the bar and the food was of a very high standard. The bar staff were very nice and chatted to us which you don't get in a large hotel. Read less
Likes:
We liked everything, from the location to the fact we could leave the car for free which seems to be extra at any other central location. The cleanliness of the premises was of a very high standard.
Dislikes:
You may get road noise in the summer months if you are in one of the rooms at the front, but this did not disturb me, and the wife uses ear plugs because of my snoring.
