This was our second visit to Hallbarn. When we walked Hadrians Wall 3 years ago our stay at Hallbarns was a high point of the trip. The rooms are clean, quiet and cozy. The breakfasts are outstanding. The dinners (at additional cost) are tasty and well presented. Margaret and Dennis are gracious hosts and a bounty of local lore and advice. Read less

Hallbarns proved a lovely base for visiting family nearby, and for a short foray onto Hadrian's Wall just a mile or so up the track. Delightful setting and comfortable guest accommodation including a lounge to relax in the evening. Margaret was a friendly welcoming hostess for whom nothing was too much trouble, and her breakfasts were wholesome and delicious. Suspect we'll be back! Read less

Stayed one night whilst walking Hadrian's Wall Path. Host very welcoming and friendly. We had omitted to book an evening meal but an excellent meal was provided by our host at short notice.
