"Simply perfect"
Close to perfection, could not have wished for more. Karen even made me some special vegan cakes. My mother in law absolutely loved her stay and her standards are extremely high. The breakfast was lovely and Karen went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. Extremely good value for money. We would without a doubt stay here again if we visit the area again. The settings beautiful as is the house. The lounge area was a lovely place to sit. The beds were very comfortable and the food delightful, I didn't need to eat until the evening.

A lovely location and a charming hostess who couldn't do too much to please.
Dislikes:
Just in case it is a critical consideration, BT could only supply internet which was so slow as to be almost useless. This was outside the control of the proprieter and no reflection on her.
Response from Mill House:
Thank you David it was lovely to share Mill House with you, hopefully your frustration with the Internet, equal to mine will bring a response from BT and our MP....I hope to welcome you back with a super fast broadband in the future. Glad it didn't distract too much from the enjoyment of your stay.

Mill House is a beautiful 16th century cottage, nestled by the river Coquet, providing a tranquil and stunning place to escape. Formerly part of The Guyzance Hall Estate, it was home to the mill manager and his family until the mid 1900’s. A superior B&B providing a warm welcome with homemade cake and a breakfast described by a recent guest as;

“A real poachers breakfast….Out of this world.”
Doug – North Yorkshire

Close to the main North-South East Coast train line, local station being Alnmouth, the stunning beaches and castles of the Northumberland coast are a 15 minute drive. The market towns of Alnwick, Morpeth and Rothbury are within 20 minutes.
Golf courses to be played at Alnmouth, Warkworth, Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh. Wonderful cycling and walking routes; taking you to the coast and it’s castles, north to Holy Island or inland and the Cheviot Hills.

A pickup/drop off at the station can be organised when making your reservation, Karen would also be delighted to help source and provide extra goodies for surprises and special occasions, again discuss upon booking. With a wealth of knowledge and information about the county she can help you plan a memorable stay. In addition contacts in a variety of fields from shooting, fishing, golfing, spas, restaurants whatever your interest a package can be created for you, nothing is too much of a challenge. The area of Guyzance is unspoilt, with a wealth of wildlife and fauna. Sit in one of the peaceful corners of the garden listening to fish leaping in the river, watch Buzzards flying overhead and gaze at the dark starry sky at night...then curl up in front of the log burner in the resident's snug with a book or a DVD.

“Fabulous hostess, beautiful home & wonderful food. A little secret gem that should not be so secret…”
Glenda – London.

Children over the age of 12 only.
