Everything. The owners are very friendly and were so helpful. The room was spotless with a wonderful bed, shower and view of the snow capped mountains. The breakfasts were as good as they come.

Cherryhill is right on 2 great walking trails - The Mourne Way and The Newcastle Way. Step out your front door and you get straight on to either of these fantastic walks in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Murlough Nature Reserve is a five minute drive from Cherryhill Lodge, Murlough National Nature Reserve is a fragile 6000 year old sand dune system owned by the National Trust and managed as Ireland’s first Nature Reserve since 1967. It is an excellent area for walking and bird watching due to its spectacular location at the edge of Dundrum Bay and the Mourne Mountains.

Only a 20 minute drive from Cherryhill Lodge is the award winning Tyrella beach and dune conservation area. This is a small, enclosed complex within Dundrum Bay, Downpatrick, County Down. It is a wide, flat, sandy beach two kilometres long and backed by 25 hectares of mature dunes in a conservation area offering scenic walks and an insight into the habitat of local flora and fauna.
