Thank you for your knd words, we do always try to accommodate different arrival times to fit in with guests travel or other arrangements. Saturdays, in particular, we are very aware that wedding guests usually want to arrive early.

Although we state quite clearly on the website that we are flexible about check ins, we do have to have a stated check in time for the booking system. I just list between 17.00 and 19.00 as that is the most popular arrival time and so always guarantee to be here!

Abbey Guest House is a family-run, quiet, 4 star Silver rated guest house. It offers immaculately furnished and decorated en-suite rooms and prides itself on its high level of service and standard of accommodation.

The guest house is situated in the peaceful village of Abingdon, just off the A34, 6 miles from the historic city of Oxford famous for its sights, colleges and museums. There are two local pubs within 400 yards of the guest house that both supply good quality food for evening meals. Alternatively a 10-15-minute walk into the centre of town gives visitors access to numerous other restaurants and pubs.

The location provides excellent transport links to Culham, Didcot, Marcham and Oxford. Off-road car parking and Wi-Fi internet access available.

Child discounts apply to bookings where the child is aged 13 or under at time of stay. Prices for babies in a cot are variable according to facilities required.

Environmental Statement

We strive continuously to ensure that, as far as possible, we consider the impact of what we do on our environment and that we have as little waste as possible. Currently we do the following: Toiletries: We now supply our guests with a much more expensive product, Lux Shampoo / Shower Gel and Dove Cream Wash, in dispensers in the shower and by the basin. This enables each guest to use as much as s/he would like whilst eliminating packaging and waste entirely. Towels: towels are only changed daily, if required and requested, otherwise they will be changed after 4 days (with the bed linen) or if extremely wet. Showers v baths: all the bedrooms have been fitted with en-suite showers to save water. There is also a separate bathroom containing just a bath for guests that prefer to use this facility.
