"Our favourite place for a short break in Burford"
We have stayed in Burford on many occasions for one or two nights and have tried most of the accommodation on offer. The comfort and friendliness of The Royal Oak is as good as any of them and better than most. The owners took over six months ago and have made such a difference. They could not have been more helpful.
We stayed in the superior double which is located to the rear and is accessed by steps from the courtyard. The room was spacious and clean, retaining the charm of the old building Read less

John, Jeanette and Harry would like to welcome you to The Royal Oak in the beautiful historic town of Burford. This charming grade II listed public house is ideally situated for the vast amount of traditional English villages and of course the worldwide renowned city of Oxford.

The area also features many walking routes and there is no better place to stop and rest those aching limbs and feet than our fine establishment.

A warm welcome awaits from this family run business and we will be only too happy to assist in any of your needs.

Our relaxing bar and restaurant areas features oak beams and a log fire. We offer an excellent range of conditioned ales, lagers, ciders and fine wines. Our food offering features classic gastropub fare or for lunch you can try one of our full to the brim baguettes.

For the Summer months we also boast a sun trapped beer garden where you can kick back and relax over a cool beer or a glass of Pimm's.
