Awesome, superlative, mind-blowing, tranquil, peaceful, homely, comfortable, elegant. All these words describe how you will feel when you arrive at Boulston Manor. Add to that 2 of the most friendly hosts, there when you need them, but unobtrusive. You will never want to leave Boulston Manor once you arrive. Breakfast on a long table in the dining room on eggs fresh from their hens. Relax in the drawing room, have an al fresco dinner in the dining room, Jules will lay the table for you. Read less

The Gold Cup bedroom was stunning. Huge and elegant with a fantastic balcony overlooking the fields and estuary. The bathroom was ginormous with a central spa bath with candles around.

The atmosphere, the location, the decoration and the welcome
Dislikes:
It's hard to keep a large country house pristine, but the windows panes needed a good cleaning (minor detail compared to everything else)

Boulston Manor is a classic Georgian Manor house overlooking the Cleddau estuary and is located 3 miles from the County town of Haverfordwest. The road to the Manor provides tantaling glimses of the river as you pass through ancient woodlanduntil the Manor appears in front of you. A warm welcome is assured and the classic Georgian manor drawing room with views of the river is yours to enjoy; soft sofas, horsey pictures and a grand piano set the atmosphere. Many a happy hour can be spent waiting for Mr Darcey to canter up the Front Park.

The house was refurbished in 2007 with the installation of new central heating, rewiring and new decoration. A log biomass boiler is situated in the cellar of the house and provides the hot water required for the large baths. Timber is sourced from the 17+ acres of woodland surrounding the house.

The Gold Cup Suite is the largest of the suites with a balcony for visitors to take in the view. The room is south facing so enjoys the morning sun and spectacular evening views of the the sun setting on the woodland alongside the river.

Boulston Manor is located on a peninsula so there are riverside walks to relax and observe the wildlife including the Canada geese first introduced from Slimbridge in the early 1950's.
