"Fantastic"
On a tour of Scotland we were staying at 8 of the top rated B&Bs and at the Old Stables we had the biggest room, the longest picture window and by far the most communal space of any. Although we arrived a little later than expected, we were made to feel most welcome and helped to get a place to eat. I always hesitate to tick the Excellent boxes all the way down but I cannot think of one thing with which I wasn't entirely satisfied. I truly wish that our stay had been longer. Read less

Response from Old Stables:
We were sorry also that your stay was so short with so much of Alyth history to catch up on!
Thank you for such a generous review, it's lovely to have, especially after the disgusting weekend we had to endure two weeks earlier with the females here for the Rewind Festival, when we found it necessary to call Police - twice!
That ended up on Tripadvisor! Which doesn't say much for them!
It was a pleasure to meet you both and look forward to seeing you next time you're in the country.

Eileen and Bill were magnificent hosts. Very Friendly, knowledgeable, informative and good fun. The room had a lovely shower and spa bath, which we used, and were delighted with. The room was spotless
Dislikes:
Bill and Eileen have spent a lot of time and expense, building onto, what was once old stables, as the name suggests. Our room opened into the garden, and I would suggest tidying up the path.
Response from Old Stables:
It was lovely to meet you both. Thank you for the review! We've been tidying up today, so it's not as if we don't know it needs done! Although we do have a gardener who has been on holiday for the past two weeks,
it's difficult to handle a full greenhouse and keep on top of both gardens with a full house of guests at this time of year. If it wasn't for gardening, I'd have time to golf like yourselves:-)
Hope you enjoyed your one night stays around the golf courses of Royal Deeside!

We chose this B&B in Alyth so that we could easily access and explore the glens of Angus. We are captivated by the beauty of the area and our stay was enhanced by our accommodation - warm, welcoming and comfortable. Our hosts recommended the Strathmore Golf Clubhouse for our evening meal, so delicious that we returned the next evening. Read less

Sorry I've not responded earlier and thank you for a kind review. We also enjoy the Strathmore Golf Club, a lovely setting with great food.
Best wishes. Eileen and Bill.
