Thank you kindly for leaving us a great review; it is always re-assuring to know our guests enjoy Kelson Lodge. I trust you had a good journey north and perhaps managed to stop off en route to enjoy areas of Highland Perthshire.

The Highway is VERY nearby.
Response from Kelson Lodge:
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a great review; we are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Kelson Lodge. Top marks for everything except for location with a 4 out of 5. You are correct the M90 is fairly close (400 metres perhaps) however noise is generally not an issue and of course it makes the central belt of Scotland very accessible. In motorway terms the M90 has very little overnight traffic and even during the day it is relatively quiet.

George & Liz look forward to welcoming you to Kelson Lodge Kinross, a superior Bed & Breakfast in a rural location with stunning views over Loch Leven to the Castle Island yet only a few minutes from the M90 with access to all major cities in Scotland. A refurbishment programme 10 years ago has transformed Kelson Lodge from a 1960's bungalow into a very comfortable contemporary home. We offer two spacious double bedrooms, one with en suite facilities, the other with a private adjoining bathroom. Both bedrooms have TV, dvd player, hospitality tray and hair dryer. Wi-fi access is free.

Kinross town centre is less than a mile away where there are shops, hotels, pubs and a number of excellent restaurants. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, a gym and a library in addition to a choice of walking and cycling to suit all ages and abilities. The Loch Leven Heritage Trail is a very do-able walk around the shores of Loch Leven and many activities are available locally including golf (with St Andrews and Gleneagles both within an hour drive), fishing on the renowned waters of Loch Leven for the indigenous brown trout, Scottish Gliding Union headquarters and airfield, hot air ballooning, microlight flights and RSPB Loch Leven.

The views across Loch Leven to the Castle Island are arguably the best in Kinross-shire. From April to October a ferry runs from the Pier to Loch Leven Castle, this is operated by Historic Scotland and there is a small charge.

Our check in period is generally 1400 to 1800 however this can be earlier/later by prior arrangement.
