"Warm, friendly and welcoming!"
My boyfriend and I stayed for one night at the Blackburn lodge as we were visiting Kielder Observatory. After a very long journey, we were greeted by Michael, who took our cases, and were introduced to Jayne. The room was comfortable, clean and warm. The view from the windows and garden was beautiful. Breakfast was very tasty! We felt that Jayne and Michael couldn’t do anything more to ensure we had a brilliant stay! Which we did and we would definitely stay again! Read less

"Wonderful stay with friendly, warm and welcoming hosts."
Wonderful stay for a short break in snowy February. Wonderfully warm and welcoming hosts who went out of their way to accommodate us. From an adjustment to our booking to accommodating fussy requests for breakfast, stargazing tips and even a hot toddy for the husband when he wasn’t feeling well! We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back. Would highly recommend staying here. Read less
