"Really friendly staff, homely approach, have the edge over corporate much larger organisations."
Really accommodating staff, 2 pints of Guinness and a exceptionally well cooked steak half an hour after my arrival & the breakfast served an hour before the restaurant officially opened to suit my schedule for the next day, never stayed there before so no preferential treatment, just really well looked after.
If however your are chasing soulless super lavish accommodation this isn't the place for you. Read less
Likes:
Good location, well looked after & made to feel very welcome.
Excellent food and service
Guinness on draught
Good nights sleep
Excellent breakfast
What more do you want???
Dislikes:
Hot water to the shower was a long time coming & the mixer tap on the bath feeding a shower head rather than a shower was an inconvenience nothing more.

We were cycling and found that we could not gain entrance until 515pm which was a bit inconvenient.

Both lunch on our first day and breakfast before we left were delicious. We loved the quirkly wonky walls and low ceilings.

Unique & quintessentially English, Much Wenlock is a stunning medieval town.

It played a part in the birth of the modern Olympic Games and is the birthplace of Dr William Penny Brookes. In recognition of our sporting heritage, the 2012 London Olympic Games named one of their mascots Wenlock!
Strolling around the town, you won’t see any big brands on our streets. Quaint traditional shops all offering good, old-fashioned personal and friendly service. There are plenty of visitor attractions within easy reach of the town and lots of walks both in the town and in the surrounding beautiful Shropshire countryside.

The World Heritage site of Ironbridge is just a few miles drive away, our own 12th Century Priory and ruins at the bottom of the town are easily accessible along with The Wenlock Edge, an ideal walking route, and National Trust properties at Attingham and Dudmaston too. Also close by are the market towns of Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth and the food lovers haven of Ludlow.

Situated in the centre of this charming town and ideally located for exploring all this beautiful Shropshire countryside has to offer, The Fox Inn is the perfect venue for visitors and locals alike to meet, catch up and relax in. The Inn dates back to the 1600’s and has a character and charm all of its own. A traditional bar and restaurant with oak beams, light and clean decor and open fireplaces offering a warm welcome to all our guests.

Our rooms each have their own individual twist, with uneven floors and furniture brought back to the level with strategically placed books to doors that are low and leaning and windows with frames that can not be closed fully.
Our food is what will set us apart from the rest. Fresh and seasonal, homemade dishes, Our speciallity
