The twin room we stayed in was spacious clean and beautifully traditional with hot shower, fridge and tea making facilities which came in handy. Read less

Very comfortable beds, lovely peaceful location, delicious breakfast and great couple, married for coming on 50 years they clearly know how they like things done and have great quirky humour.
Dislikes:
Not really it was lovely and enjoyable, we would go back not least for the sausages!

the staff/owners were very rude and abrupt. We were being monitored when we were leaving and returning to the b and b which made us feel we could not come and go as we pleased. Breakfast was not offered after the first day when they were rude to us.
We did not feel comfortable staying there with the way they were behaving which caused us to leave early. It was the most unwelcomist place we have ever been too and we shall not be going back to stay. Read less

Welcome to Ilex House, four star award winning guest accommodation located in the small village of West Huntspill in the historic Sedgemoor district. Our aim is for all our guests to feel at home and comfortable during their stay and a warm welcome awaits you when you arrive at our Grade II listed late Georgian house.
Situated about 3 miles from the M5, Ilex house is ideally situated for visiting the many beauty spots that North Somerset has to offer. We are only 3 miles from Burnham-on-Sea, 7 miles from Bridgwater, 20 miles from Wells and other areas such as Cheddar, Taunton, Minehead and the Quantock Hills are all within easy reach. Bristol Airport is also only approximately 20 miles away.
Ilex House offers a large garden that guests are welcome to make use of as well as a guest lounge which looks out onto the garden and has a television, video player and radio with a selection of videos and books available. We have two cats in residence and therefore are unable to accept dogs apart from assistance dogs.
Tea or coffee and homemade cake is served every afternoon between 3.00pm and 4.30pm. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement.
