Porlock is surrounded on three sides by the rolling heather and gorse clad hills of Exmoor, six miles from the North Devon border. The glorious coastal scenes are breaktaking. Porlock is a living village, its winding high street has shops that can satisfy all one's needs. Whatever your choice of activity, you are never far from it in Porlock. There is the incredible Exmoor scenery and its native wildlife, including the famous red deer and unique Exmoor ponies.
How to Find Us
Minehead(approx 4 miles)
Take the A39 towards Lynton. Descend the hill into Porlock village and come straight through the high street. At the end of the high street, the road forks off: take the right fork signposted to Porlock Weir, and we are the second house on the left, opposite Porlock Visitor Centre.
Lynton(approx 12 miles)
Take the A39 towards Minehead. When you descend Porlock Hill or the Toll Road, take a sharp left signposted to Porlock Weir, and we are the second house on the left, opposite Porlock Visitor Centre.
Taunton(approx 23 miles)
At Taunton rail station, walk to the car park at the rear of the station where there is a bus stop and waiting room. Take the bus link to Minehead. Change at Minehead for a bus to Porlock Weir or Lynton.
