The history, the beautiful buildings and grounds, the 'guard' cockerall crowing in the morning, breafast in the Star Chamber and the seclusion and peace.
Dislikes:
Stayed in 'Fane' as we prefer a shower to a bath, but felt a bit isolated from the main property. In retrospect, would like to have stayed in the main house, and had access to a guest lounge.

The room we were shown to in the tower was very small, with a view of some sheds.
The room opposite was occupied by a family who were noisily watching TV, and there was little sound insulation in the bedroom doors.

A traditional yet stylish B&B located in the heart of the West Country
We are 10 minutes away from the county town of Yeovil and just over 2 hours from London by train (Waterloo to Yeovil junction) or by road using the nearby A303.
The Fat Pigeon offers all of the comforts of a smart boutique hotel, but at bed and breakfast prices. Our weekday occupancy rates are great value with a single @ £39.95, double @ £49.95 and family rooms @ £70.
We have a lovely snug for guests to relax in (with a DVD library), 10 beautifully designed en-suite bedrooms (with full Wifi access and a TV/DVD in every room) and a large garden.
