Wingfield is a small village in the Waverney Valley on the borders of Suffolk and Norfolk, although only small in size and quiet in nature there is an amazing amount of history linked to it. In Tudor times Wingfield was thought to be one of the richest villages in Suffolk, due to the wool trade.
How to Find Us
West(approx 28 miles)
Take the A143 from Bury St Edmunds. At the roundabout junction with the A140 go straight ahead. After 1.3miles turn Right, signposted Billingford Windmill. (the windmill can be seen on your left.) Follow this road to the end then turn left. After 4.1 miles turn left at the junction sign posted Wingfield Green. Follow this road and take 1st right at the Green signposted Weybread and Fressingfield. After 0.9miles Holly Tree House is on the right just after the no speed limit and bend in the road
South(approx 8 miles)
Take the A140 from Ipswich heading for Diss.
About 1 mile before the roundabout into Diss turn right onto the B1118 sign posted Stradbroke (8miles). Follow this road for 5.4 miles. Turn left at the junction sign posted Wingfield Green.
Follow this road and take 1st right at the Green signposted Weybread and Fressingfield. After 0.9miles Holly Tree House is on the right just after the no speed limit and bend in the road sign.
