On arrival at 5.30pm the pub was locked up, no one answered the phone. we waiated and eventually comeone called us back and said they would let us in. We have been travelling fr over 2 hours and needed a comfort break and a drink. We were advised that the bar did not open until 6pm. We were no impressed. We did not feel welcomed at all. the rooms are very smally, enough room for a double bed and a small walkway. Then a shower room with a small quadrant shower. Breakfast was excellent. Read less
Likes:
The breakfast - nothing was too much trouble.
The location for us was good as we attended a party at a near by golf club (Oak Park) and were able to walk back.
Dislikes:
the poor welcome on arrival and the lack of a nice cold drink from the bar.
We were not made aware that it would be a struggle to get in our room when booking and could have worked around that

Quiet little village with charming scenery.Family run pub/B&B - very friendly people. Lovely courtyard and real authentic pub with good value for money. Unfortunately not the same feeling about the value for money of the room. Read less

The room, although small, showed real potential. A little updated decoration could work wonders, but as it is, we found it very cosy. Very comfortable bed and good location.
Dislikes:
Huge spiderwebs on the ceiling, heathing system didn't work. Too much money for this small outdated room.
